This sweet, nutty gluten-free cake is inspired by a syrupy Sephardic sweet called tishpishti. Our version features almond flour and crushed walnuts, along with grated apple for extra tenderness. It gets moisture and additional sweetness from a brandy- and ginger-infused syrup.
